QuestBridge Applicants
QuestBridge is a non-profit program that links bright and motivated low-income students with educational and scholarship opportunities at some of the nation's most selective college and universities. QuestBridge is the provider of the National College Match Program and the College Prep Scholarship.
Caltech partnered with QuestBridge to connect and provide access to high-achieving low-income students who are looking for an exceptional science, math, and engineering undergraduate experience. How to apply
Students applying through the National College Match program must fill out the QuestBridge application and follow the directions and deadlines given by QuestBridge.
If you have ranked Caltech as one of your choices, your official test scores, official transcript, CSS Profile, and Financial Aid Document must be submitted to Caltech as soon as you are notified of your finalist status on October 23. It is highly recommended you begin this process in early October. If you do not submit the required materials by November 2, 2009, Caltech may choose not to consider your application for the College Match.
If you are not selected as as National College Match Finalist, please review the college-specific requirements for QuestBridge students who wish to apply through the Regular Decision Process.
Students must submit both the Common Application and the Caltech Supplement to be considered for Regular Decision.
Financial Aid
All QuestBridge applicants must submit all financial aid documents. Caltech requires that Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSS/Financial Aid Profile. Information about these forms can be found on the Caltech Financial Aid website.
Students applying for the National College Match program must register for the CSS/Financial Aid Profile by November 2, 2009.
Students applying for Regular Decision must submit the completed CSS/Financial aid Profile by February 1, 2010.
Fee Waivers
All QuestBridge applicants are offered an automatic fee wavier.
International QuestBridge Applicants
International students cannot apply for the College Match Program but can apply for the Early Action or Regular Decision deadline.
Paid Travel
Students who are matched with Caltech will receive an opportunity for paid travel to visit the campus in the spring.
