During your visit to campus, you may take a tour, sit in on an information session, or visit a class. We hope that you will also spend some time wandering around our beautiful campus and talking to members of the community. Below are some suggestions for your campus exploration:
Visit the Caltech Store and Caltech Wired to purchase Caltech merchandise and apparel.
Our athletic facility Braun Gym offers state-of-the-art fitness equipment, tennis courts, swimming pools, and more. Visitors are welcome to tour the facilities, located near the corner of California Boulevard and Wilson Avenue.
Need to unwind? Our campus has numerous locations to sit and relax. The Beckman Institute Courtyard has benches and a view of the Gene Pool (look closely and you'll see the DNA pattern on the bottom).
Visit Millikan Pond and the Millikan Memorial Library, where each year, our students participate in the Halloween tradition that seeks to answer the perennial question, "What does a pumpkin look like after it's frozen in liquid nitrogen and dropped from the top of a nine-story building?"
Want to grab a bite to eat? If you are interested in a sit-down meal, try Chandler Dining Hall (during lunchtime, it's busy, which makes it a great place to see students interact). There are also two coffeehouses on campus. The Red Door and Cafe at Broad serve coffee, pastries, and other snacks.
