Group Tours

Interested in bringing a high school group to campus? Group tours are available Monday and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tours include a general campus tour for high school students and focus on the undergraduate experience at Caltech. Groups of 10 or more are encouraged to complete a visit request.  Please note that we do not accommodate tours arranged by travel agencies or "for-profit" organizations.

To schedule a tour, please complete our online group tours form at least three weeks in advance with the name of the school, number of students expected to attend, and day/time preferences. We will get back to you as soon as possible regarding availability.  Due to scheduling considerations we cannot arrange for tours more than three months in advance.

Please note: The tour does not include lab tours or science experiments. We do not give tours arranged by travel agencies. Since the tour is geared towards students interested in studying at Caltech, all students on the tour must speak English. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate tours if a translator is necessary.  Caltech does not provide food or meals for the tour.

Please note that we only offer tours for high school groups.  Students who are not yet in high school should check out "Reel Science," presented by The Caltech Public Events office.  These are on selected Fridays. The programs highlight educational science films and discussions to complement curriculum for elementary, middle, and high school students. For more information on how your school can participate, please email or call Mary Herrera at (626) 395-6059.
