The distinct buzzing of kazoos punctuated the din of dining Techers last Thursday in Chandler Café. To celebrate National Kazoo Day (yes, it does exist), kazoos were handed out to enhance the dining experience. The modern kazoo, invented in the 1840s, made its first public appearance at the Georgia State Fair in 1852. Its southern roots inspired a menu of classic southern cooking, including a seafood boil, fried chicken, biscuits, pecan pie, and sweet tea.
