Transfer Admissions FAQ
Beginning with fall 2024 transfer applicants, Caltech will administer its own application. Below are some commonly asked questions from transfer applicants.

If this is your first-time applying to Caltech, you must create an account to start a new application here. You will be required to include your first and last name, date of birth, and email address. Please be sure to use an email address that you regularly access.
If you already have an account, click this link and log in to your account.
Once an application has been submitted, changes cannot be made, and this includes recommenders. You may reach out to the admissions office directly to [email protected] if you need further assistance.
Please ask a recommender to submit a letter of recommendation to [email protected] and ask them to include your full name and date of birth so we can add the letter to your file.
If you indicated in the application that you would not need a fee waiver, you were able to submit the application, but the application payment is pending. You must then log in to the Beaver Breakroom and you will be prompted to complete payment. Once that is done, you will have full access to the Beaver Breakroom.
The application deadline is February 1. Your completed transfer exams and all supporting materials are due February 15.
