Campus Sustainability Month: Use Reusable Plates, Silverware, and Cups

Ceramic plates and metal utensils are back in use at Browne Dining Hall. In addition, customers at the Red Door Marketplace and Broad Café may bring clean reusable cups for their drinks.

The Caltech Sustainability Advisory Council, which was convened in spring 2023, recommended the restoration of reusable tableware. The Caltech community has stepped up its prevention and reduction of landfill-bound waste in recent years. The use of washable plates, utensils, and mugs will further lower the volume of unrecyclable trash created by single-use items.
